Pactrol announce the release of CSS 2 - A digital FSC replacement for CSS

Man Machine Interface

The MMI is the user / service engineers interface with the Appliance Logic Control (ALC).

A wide variety of options are available including:

  • LED indicators for run, L/O etc.
  • LED displays
  • potentiometers for setpoint adjustment
  • option selection switches
  • push buttons
  • diagnostic ports
  • alpha-numeric displays in several languages.
  • Monochrome or ¼ VGA graphics displays with or without touch-screen options

The MMI would be typically supplied as a PCB which could be mounted behind the front panel of the appliance and be connected to the main PCB via a ribbon cable.

We can if required incorporate simpler MMIs on the main PCB if the design of the appliance is suitable.

Pactrol also has a Windows™ based diagnostic program available which can be used both during appliance development and for fault diagnosis in the field.

Typical Options

Displays:

A range of options to display/indicate faults, temperatures, etc.are available including:

· Single LEDS

· LED displays

· Alpha-numeric LCD's

Graphic LCD's - Monochrome or 1 VGA graphics displays with or without touch-screen options

Push buttons:

A small number of push buttons can be incorporated to access data, set variables, reset from lockout, etc.

Potentiometers:

PCB mounted potentiometers for user adjustable setpoints can be provided. (e.g. Central heating setpoint).

Option Selectors:

Either DIP switches or links can be provided to allow factory or installer options to be selected.

Diagnostic Port :

A serial port (5V or RS232C compatible) can be provided to permit full diagnostics via a PC.
